Hygiene and Safety Course for Eyelash Extensions and Lash Lifting
-
NEW COURSEPROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
I took the "Hygiene and Safety" course at the Academy. The information is clearly structured, making it easy to understand. What's especially VALUABLE is the detailed breakdown of proper workspace organization and the crucial steps that affect client safety and the quality of the procedure. Also IMPORTANT are the timely details regarding documentation — knowledge that allows you to work legally and at the highest standard. HUGE THANKS to Lovely Academy for the opportunity to grow in my career 💞💕💞
I also wanted to add that it was my first time studying at the academy — SOOO WARM, COZY ATMOSPHERE — just like "FAMILY". I believe that gaining knowledge in such an environment is incredibly VALUABLE!!!

Do you work as an eyelash extension technician in Estonia?
If you are a lash technician or a lash lift artist, you have most likely already heard about Regulation No. 41 of the Minister of Social Affairs, which regulates the provision of beauty and personal services in Estonia.
As of March 1, 2026, new requirements regarding the hygiene and safety knowledge and skills of beauty specialists are in effect in Estonia, including for lash extension and lash lift artists. This means that a technician must meet competency requirements covering 8 mandatory areas.
Is your hygiene and safety certification up to date for 2026?
The Health Board (Terviseamet) highlights several key areas of knowledge. If you are unsure whether you need further training, run through this list. If you feel uncertain about even one point, this course will help you systematically review, update, and expand your knowledge of hygiene, safety, and infection prevention in eyelash extensions and lash lifting.
List of 8 mandatory knowledge and skill areas according to Repuplic of Estonia Health Board requirements:
From March 1, 2026, a lash technician must have documented proof (a certificate or diploma) of knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Hygiene and prevention of infectious diseases you understand the general principles but aren't sure if your workflow meets the current sanitary requirements.
- Skin diseases and other health conditions - you know the main contraindications but feel unsure in non-standard situations when a client comes in with inflammation, irritation, or other skin changes.
- Asepsis and antisepsis principles - you disinfect your tools but don't fully grasp the difference between cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization, or when each step is applied.
- Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments - you process your tweezers and tools but aren't certain if it meets the strict requirements for working around the eye area.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - you use gloves and a mask but don't know the exact PPE requirements for technicians working with glues and chemicals.
- Anatomy and physiology of the eye area and skin - you work in this area daily but lack systematic knowledge of the anatomy and tissue specifics.
- Indications and contraindications - you know the basic cases when a procedure cannot be performed but aren't always confident in borderline situations.
- Safe use of chemicals and products - you work with lash glues and disinfectants but don't know how to properly read a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) or what to look for when choosing your working products.
During the course, we thoroughly cover all 8 modules on hygiene and safety in eyelash extensions and lash lifting.
Upon completing the course, participants receive a certificate of additional training (continuing education). Our training center is registered in the EHIS system, and the registration number 2133908 is included on the certificate. The document states the participant's first and last name, personal identification code, date of issue, program name, and the result of the final test.

🎁 Course Materials - Ready-to-use Professional Document Templates
Paperwork is not the most enjoyable part of the profession, but it is essential during inspections. During the course you will receive access to ready-to-use working tables in Google Sheets, adapted for the work of an eyelash extension technician. The templates are accompanied by a separate guide explaining how to fill them in and use them correctly in daily practice.
1. Workplace Safety Assessment
A document where the lash technician evaluates possible work-related risks: biological, chemical, mechanical, and ergonomic. It describes potential sources of danger, such as working with glue and chemicals, contact with the client's skin and eyes, the use of instruments, as well as measures to reduce these risks.
2. Lash Tools Sterilisation Log
A sterilisation sheet log where the lash technician records the processing of tools used during procedures. It includes sterilisation dates, the method used and the list of processed tools. This log helps track the sterilisation cycle of tweezers and other tools and demonstrates that sterilisation is carried out regularly and according to established procedures.
3. Sanitation logbook
A working log used by the lash technician to record actions related to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace. It includes cleaning activities, disinfection of working surfaces, use of disinfectants and other procedures related to maintaining hygiene standards in the treatment room.
Cleaning and Disinfection Plan
A document describing which areas and surfaces of the workspace must be cleaned and disinfected, which products should be used and how often the procedures must be carried out. The plan helps organise cleaning systematically and demonstrates that hygiene standards in the lash technician’s workspace are maintained in daily practice.
